our story

a heart for couples and families everywhere

We have been married more than a decade and are the proud parents to four beautiful daughters: Stephanie, Isabella, Summer Hope and Naomi Blue. We love cooking and entertaining in our Hamptons styled home, going paddle boarding, watching Netflix (all of us – a little too much!), and spending time near the ocean whenever we can.

Our passion for coming alongside couples is borne out of our own relational wounding and healing journey, which seems to be a work in progress.

Together, we have over 20 years combined experience in counselling and family therapy, education and resource development.

Her experience includes counselling and psychotherapy through various community programs, including CityCare Counselling and Uniting Care, and developing and presenting educational packages and workshops for disadvantaged communities and for the corporate sector.

our why

inspiring people to rediscover the beauty and joy of a resilient marriage

The link between relationship breakdown and disadvantage is conclusive: separation and divorce have long-lasting negative impacts on both adults and children, and on a wide range of health and socio-economic factors.

The hope and promise of a better way compels us.

Happy marriages take work, but they are definitely possible, and always worth the investment. Our why is about championing that investment – helping couples heal and flourish, find their purpose, and share it with others.

our approach

a holistic integrative model

Our counselling approach is integrative, non-judgemental, flexible and inclusive. We work with couples by using specific techniques and concepts drawn from a number of theories and models, including Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and the Litchfield Family Therapy model.

Our support involves helping couples address current relationship stressors, recognise and shift patterns of relating that are creating problems, and encouraging couples to notice that divine grace always walks along with them, toward the change they need and the joy they desire.

EFT

Based on attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy uses emotion as the target and agent of chage.

Gottman

A therapy method that focuses on strengthening couples by using the Sound Relationship House theory

CFT

A Family Therapy model (Litchfield) that incorporates psychology and spirituality.
